Epic Games

May 18th, 2012

Epic Games uses Microsoft and Sony to offer cutting-edge visuals with the next wave of consoles, and he believes that the Unreal Engine 4 could stimulate such an advancement in fidelity. In an interview published today on Wired, Epic Games design director Cliff Bleszinski said the business owners Unreal Engine 4 needs to be at the forefront of the next generation of technology.
Why should Microsoft and Sony Epic listen? Sweeney says his company has a more intimate relationship with manufacturers that others do.

“We’re much more in sync with the console manufacturers than any other developer is,” he said. “This means we can give detailed recommendations with a full understanding of what is going to be commercially feasible . “

the kinds of magic a priest might use

April 24th, 2012
Now, I think it’s likely that there will be a ranged character, however I’m not a fan of using pets to supplement his playing style since ‘pets’, as they’re called, since they’re often something that is summoned and then forgotten about. Necromancer summoning was interactive in Diablo 2 since you were actively cursing to maximise their effect, and it seems to be so with the Witch Doctor. I like the idea of a cross between a priest and a ranged character, and this is because the kinds of magic a priest might use (divination, abjuration, invocation) would supplement a character who is defensive and excels at killing single targets.
He is somewhat disadvantaged when facing a large, tough horde, however we have seen the broad scope of the other classes and this will not necessarily be so. Given time to prepare, this character can augment his weapons and shape the battlefield to his advantage, however if caught unaware, or faced with a long, dangerous battle, he may be easily routed. This character is the spiritual successor to the Amazon, perhaps, but I don’t think a ranged character with many area attacks is the best way to differentiate the class… don’t we have the Wizard for that? Strategically, my ranged character can quickly kill the ‘keystone’ monster, the shaman, the demon summoner, (perhaps with a skill like an Arcing Shot) and then having weakened the formation, picks off the rest of the horde.

Fans of the “Mass Effect”

The newest, and perhaps most creative, protest came in the form of 402 cupcakes delivered to Bioware’s offices in Edmonton, Alberta. The game players have found a number of ways to express their fury. The newest, and perhaps most creative, protest came in the form of 402 cupcakes delivered to Bioware’s offices in Edmonton, Alberta. Fans of the “Mass Effect” franchise who were disappointed in the new title’s ending have found many outlets for their anger at Bioware and the game developers who they say phoned in the ending to the video game space-opera.
We also want to let Bioware know, that we trust them, and have faith in them. Bioware has been slammed by negativity from all sides in the last few weeks. This is our way, as fans, to drive our message home.
The cupcakes were colored red, blue and green with A, B or C written on each one in icing. This is likely a jab at executive producer Casey Hudson in response to his statement defending the “Mass Effect 3″ ending.
The protest was quickly organized online by “Retake Mass Effect 3,” a group of video game-obsessed fans united in order to pressure Bioware to change the game’s ending. Fundraising for the culinary protest started on March 26 and quickly raised more than the $1005 necessary to pay for the cupcakes.

FAQ
Is the M55 Argus Assault Rifle included with the N7 Warfare Gear and Origin pre-order packs?
Yes, the M55 Argus Assault Rifle is a channel wide offer and available to everyone who pre-orders.
I don’t have a GameStop or EB Games in my country, where can I get the N7 Warfare Gear?
A full breakdown of regions and availability of pre-order offers is coming soon. You can also check with your local retailer for more information about available pre-order offers.

When will the pre-order content be available?

The pre-order items will be available on March 6th when Mass Effect 3 releases.
There seems to be some confusion due to the NA retailers listed on the page. To clarify:

GameStop  customers
get the N7 Warfare Gear including the N7 Valkyrie assault rifle.

Everyone who pre-orders from any retailer
gets the M55 Argus assault rifle (so Gamestop customers who pre-order get this and the N7 warfare gear).

Origin pre-order customers
get the AT12 Raider shotgun and the M55 Argus assault rifle (as all pre-orders get the Argus)

If I already pre-order the N7 Collector’s Edition, do I have to pre-order again to receive the pre-order items?
No, if you have already pre-ordered your pre-order will rollover and you will be automatically granted the items.
How do I unlock the items once I have pre-ordered?
Redemption methods may vary depending on platform and region. Please check with your retailer on how to redeem your pre-order content.
